Silas House is one of the most lauded and exceptional writers to come out of Appalachia in recent history. He has a keen eye and a lyrical writing style. He also has a brilliant blog and always keeps his finger on the pulse of what's happening in the world. I've never walked away from his blog without feeling like I came away more informed and moved. Good stuff here.
